Water resources engineering, extreme weather events, reservoir sedimentation, water supply management
Vahid earned his Ph.D. in Biological and Agricultural Engineering (Water Resources Engineering) at Kansas State University, 2014. He earned a M.Sc., Civil and Environmental Engineering at Shiraz University, Iran, 2009 (Honors). He earned a B.S., Civil and Environmental Engineering at Amirkabir University of Technology, Iran, 2007.
Vahid has experience in spatiotemporal analysis of precipitation events. He studies extreme weather events, surface water hydrology, and water supply management. Recently he has been working on the impacts of climate change on sediment transport into small ponds and large reservoirs.
