Remote sensing and GIS
Kevin earned a Bachelor of Arts (Environmental Studies) from the University of Kansas in 1999. He has been the Project Coordinator for the KBS Kansas Urban Water Quality Restoration and Protection Initiative since 2000.
Current research interests include the use of high-resolution satellite imagery to investigate the impacts of urban development on terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems, with an emphasis on the use of object oriented image classification and hydrologic modeling. I am also interested in the development of real-time, integrated remote sensing, GIS, and GPS systems to complements emergency management and disaster relief operations.
